Privacy Notice

Last updated: May 2026

This notice explains what personal data Clarity Through Separation collects, why, and what you can do about it. We’ve kept it plain — if anything is unclear, email hello@claritysupport.co.uk.

Who we are

Clarity Through Separation is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@claritysupport.co.uk, or by post at Grosvenor House, 3 Chapel Street, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 4AB.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZC172896.

What we collect, why, and our legal basis

  • If you join our mailing list: your email address, and your name if you give it. We use it to send the updates and resources you signed up for. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
  • If you buy a workbook or bundle: your name, email, and the country you’re buying from. Our checkout and download delivery are run by Payhip, who act as merchant of record and handle payment and VAT — your card details are processed by Payhip and its payment providers, not held by us. We use your details to deliver your purchase, provide support, and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
  • If you book a consultation: your name, email, scheduling details, and anything you choose to share so we can help you work through the relevant workbook. We keep this to the minimum needed and do not record the details of your legal matter. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • If you register interest in a firm licence: your name, work email, firm name, and anything you add to the message field. We use it to contact you when licences open. Legal basis: your consent — you can ask us to remove you at any time.
  • If you email us: your message and contact details, so we can reply and keep a record of the correspondence. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business, who process data on our behalf: Payhip (checkout, payment, delivery), MailerLite (email), and Netlify (website hosting and form handling). Each is bound to use your data only as we instruct. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Where your data is held

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses — to protect it.

How long we keep it

  • Mailing-list data: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.
  • Purchase and tax records: six years, to meet HMRC requirements.
  • Consultation records: three years, then deleted.
  • Correspondence: two years.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@claritysupport.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

Our resources and services are intended for adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep the site working: page navigation, security, and delivering your downloads at checkout. These are always on; the site can’t function without them, and they don’t need your consent. We do not use analytics, marketing, or any other non-essential cookies.

For more on the data behind this, see the Privacy Notice above.
